Delivery Best Practices & Standards

Complete the driver training course before your first route.

Our onboarding course walks you through how we work — from warehouse safety to how to run your route in the apps. It is six short chapters and takes about fourteen minutes end to end. This covers the VOP do's and don'ts, and the delivery standards every Ivy driver is held to.

  • Welcome to Ivy LogisticsWho we are and what we expect
  • Warehouse Safety & ProfessionalismConduct and safety at the facility
  • Delivery StandardsVOP do's and don'ts, photos, and exceptions
  • Building Your Route with OnRouteLoading and sequencing your stops
  • Making Deliveries with OnRouteScanning, delivering, and closing out
  • The Ivy RouteOps AppYour schedule, pay, and daily tools

Acknowledgment of this review is included in the Independent Contractor Agreement you sign in Step 3 — so complete the training before you sign.

3

Independent Contractor Agreement

Review and digitally sign your agreement.

The Independent Contractor Agreement covers your role, your responsibilities, how and when you are paid, and the operational expectations you are agreeing to. Read it in full before signing — it is the document that governs your working relationship with Ivy's Logistics.

  • Your role and responsibilities as a contractor
  • Payment terms and schedule
  • Operational expectations and delivery standards
  • Acknowledgment of the Step 2 training

Drivers with Ivy's Logistics work as independent contractors (1099), not employees. If you have questions about what that means before you sign, call your dispatch contact below.

First Day Instructions

What to bring, what to wear, and what to do when you arrive.

  • Valid driver's license — bring the physical card, not a photo of it.
  • Fully charged phone — you will run your route from it all day.
  • Appropriate footwear and delivery-ready clothing — closed-toe shoes, weather-appropriate.
  • The OnRoute app, downloaded and installed — before you arrive, not in the parking lot.
  • Arrive on time — early is on time.
  • Call or text your onsite contact when you arrive — so we know you are there.

Download the OnRoute app

Late arrivals or no-shows will be removed from the schedule. If something goes wrong on your first morning, call your dispatch number before your start time — not after.
